The Carolina Panthers are now enjoying their bye week after they picked up an impressive win against the Miami Dolphins in their Week 10 game on Monday night.

The Panthers ran out 45-21 victors over the Dolphins at Bank of America Stadium with Cam Newton giving an MVP-level performance to help Carolina move to a 7-3 record on the season and extend their win streak to three entering their week break.

The quarterback had a great game in the air, as he managed to complete 21 of his 35 passing attempts for 254 yards and four touchdowns. He also played fantastic on the ground too, as he rushed for 95 yards off five attempts including one run which went for 69 yards.

After a slow start to the season, Newton is starting to pick himself up to help the Panthers win just in time to give the team a push for a playoff spot as we approach the final quarter of the regular season.

During the win against the Dolphins, the Carolina quarterback etched his name up a spot in the record books, which goes to show how much of a good quarterback he actually is despite his critics throughout the 2017 season so far.

Against Miami, Newton became only the fourth quarterback in NFL history to rush for at least 4,000 yards, according to Clutch Points.

He now has 4,002 career rushing yards and only quarterbacks in history to have more yards than him are Michael Vick (6,109), Randall Cunningham (4,928), and Steve Young (4.239). He's still only 28 as well, so he has plenty of time to move himself up further on this list.

However, he'll likely never reach Vick on this list, as it would mean the Carolina offense would have to go through him and only him for the rest of his career. Despite how good of a player Newton is, no Panthers fan is going to want the offense to just go through Cam, as there's too much of an injury risk that comes along with it.

Newton and the rest of the Panthers now have a bye week before they come back in Week 12 in hope of continuing their winning streak when they play against the New York Jets.
