We may just found out the winner of the Survivor Series main event.

WWE has gone back and forth on who would be facing Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at this upcoming PPV (pay-per-view) event.

Originally, WWE announced that Lesnar would face then-WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at the upcoming event.

However, after Styles beat Mahal on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live to win the title, the sports entertainment company had to make some changes to the lineup for Survivor Series.

Dave Meltzer talked about the upcoming match in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He speculated that Mahal could end up interfering in the match and costing Styles a win over the Universal Champion at the event.

By doing this, it would be an out that would allow the WWE Champion to save face rather than taking a clean loss to Lesnar.

It’s said that ideally, the sports entertainment company wants to keep Lesnar strong for his rumored title match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34 on April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network and is the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured on the card.

The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets.

Here is the updated card for the upcoming event:

-- Non-Title Match: Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles

--- Non-Title Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya

--- Non-Title Match: Baron Corbin vs. The Miz

--- Six-Man Tag Team Match: The New Day vs. The Shield
