It's been a rough few weeks for former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and his best friend Sami Zayn.Last week Owens and Zayn were sent home from the WWE's European tour after a taping of SmackDown Live in Manchester, England. It was reported that the pair decided to "go into business for themselves" instead of sticking to the original plans that the WWE creative team had laid out for them. The original plans had Kofi Kingston defeating Sami Zayn, but after the match Owens could attack Kingston before Xavier Woods and Big E hit the ring to beat Zayn and Owens down. Zayn and Owens were then supposed to flee before taking on The New Day in a Tag Team match on SmackDown Live the following week. All was going according to plan; as Kingston defeated Zayn and Owens came in for the attack, however, Owens and Zayn didn't stick around to take their beating from The New Day afterwards. WWE officials reportedly yelled at Owens and Zayn backstage as a result before sending them back home to the states. There is, however, another version of the story going around indicating that Zayn and Owens did what they thought they were told to do and the whole situation was a huge misunderstanding. Per a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, there are many people denying that story and the feeling backstage is that Owens and Zayn went into business for themselves.Owens and Zayn are viewed as the 'bad guys,' so to speak, in the situation and the locker room's feeling about the pair can be reflected in a recent Twitter spat between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. After leaving the tour, Owens took his family to Epcot where a fan was celebrating his wedding. Since he was there at the same time, Owens decided to surprise the fan at his wedding reception for desert. This prompted a Twitter war between Owens and Orton, who made fun of Owens' weight for showing up for the desert party:
