Eddie Howe is expected to name an unchanged side when Bournemouth entertain Macclesfield.

The Cherries boss has no new injury or suspensions to contend with following last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Midfielder Sammy Igoe had hoped to play for the reserves in midweek after recovering from an ankle problem, but he injured his hamstring in training on Monday and will not feature against the Silkmen.

Joe Partington (back) is also unavailable, but the midfielder is expected to return to training on Monday.

Ryan Garry (groin) is also ruled out, while fellow defender Scott Guyett (knee) could be out for the rest of the season.

Alan Connell scored for the Cherries' second string in 1-0 victory against their Southampton counterparts in midweek, but Brett Pitman and Steve Fletcher are almost certain to start in attack once again.

Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander has signed Belgian defender Francois Kompany ahead of the long journey south.

The left-sided player, who is the brother of Manchester City midfielder Vincent Kompany, joined the Silkmen after impressing in two trial games.

Striker Craig Lindfield picked up a knock in last weekend's goalless draw at home to Accrington and will be assessed.

Paul Bolland (groin) and Ricky Sappleton (hamstring) are also nursing injuries but could yet be passed fit, although Carl Tremarco (hernia) remains sidelined for another fortnight.

Kris Dennis (shin), Matt Lowe (dead leg) and Paul Morgan (hamstring) are also set to miss out while midfielder Hamza Bencherif remains a long-term absentee with a broken ankle and may not feature again this season.
