Fans have picked up on five facts that two top WWE superstars have in common.

Those superstars WWE Champion AJ Styles and WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, who is set to main event the upcoming Survivor Series PPV (pay-per-view) event in a champion vs. champion match.

Originally, WWE announced that Lesnar would face then-WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at the upcoming event.

However, after Styles beat Mahal on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live to win the title, the sports entertainment company had to make some changes to the lineup for Survivor Series.

The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets.

Here are the facts that they have in common:

--- Both are former IWGP heavyweight champions

--- Only 3 guys won WWE titles on Smackdown. Lesnar and Styles are 2 of those 3
guys. Other member is Vince Mcmahon

--- Lesnar and Styles became WWE champions in their first year. Lesnar took 126 days to win WWE title while Styles took 231 days to win WWE championship

--- In WWE history, only 6 guys have become multiple time world champion in their first 2 years of WWE career. Lesnar and Styles are two of those 6 guys. The other current main roster guy who has achieved this is Sheamus ( 2009 - 2010 )

--- This is silly common thing but both are 40 year old guys who were born in 1977. Funny thing is Styles is 1 month older than Brock

WWE sent out the following to hype to hype the upcoming match:

After overcoming Jinder Mahal in a title bout in Manchester, England, newly-crowned WWE Champion AJ Styles will go head-to-head against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in a daunting Champion vs. Champion Match at Survivor Series, and the WWE Universe truly can’t wait to see it.

Refusing to be sidetracked by the tension building over the imminent battle for brand supremacy between Raw and SmackDown at WWE’s fall classic, Styles made it clear for several weeks that Mahal and the WWE Title were in his sights, while The Modern Day Maharaja insisted that there was no worthy competition on SmackDown LIVE and instead preferred to put his focus on The Conqueror.

This smoldering conflict led to Styles having several volatile altercations with Mahal and his cohorts The Singh Brothers, but when the two finally clashed for the WWE Title in the U.K., The Phenomenal One reigned supreme.

Now that Styles stands on top of the SmackDown mountain, the WWE Universe will bear witness to a classic encounter to see who truly rules the roost in WWE, the Universal Champion or the WWE Champion, in a meeting of destiny between WWE’s two top titleholders and two Superstars who are truly at the top of their game.

As incredible as Styles is, however, does he have what takes to conquer The Beast? After all, Lesnar has waged war after war in a monstrous run that has seen him beat, victimize and conquer WWE’s most formidable competitors.

Find out which champion will reign supreme when The Beast Incarnate and The Phenomenal One clash in a titanic collision at one of WWE’s most storied institutions. Don’t miss Survivor Series tomorrow at a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.
