Scoring in La Liga is proving a real problem for Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.

He has six goals in four Champions League appearances, but when it comes to scoring in Spain, the 32-year-old is having no luck whatsoever.

One goal in 720 minutes' worth of league football (eight games) is a woeful record which finds him 11 behind Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

So what's going on? No one knows and Zinedine Zidane will be concerned about his star player's form, even if he's unwilling to admit it.

Saturday's goalless draw away to Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby was another frustrating game for Ronaldo.

Two of his four shots at goal found the target but he was simply unable to beat Jan Oblak, much like the rest of Real's players.

And to think, only six months ago Ronaldo was celebrating scoring a hat-trick against Atletico at the Vicente Calderon. How times change.

Ronaldo's poor goalscoring form in La Liga has led to suggestions he's declining, which is inevitable given he's 32-years-old and turns 33 in February.

The Portugal international isn't nearly as fast as he used to be and admitted recently that he doesn't try many skills anymore.

There were two moments against Atletico - both in the space of a minute - that encapsulated Ronaldo's waning pace and skills, as you can see in the highlights reel below.

At 0:55, when Luka Modric puts him clean through on goal, he gets outpaced by 32-year-old right-back Juanfran and loses the ball.

And at 1:07, Ronaldo attempts a no-look pass for Karim Benzema but it's too far away and gets intercepted by Diego Godin. Check it out.

RONALDO'S NIGHTMARE MINUTE VS ATLETICO

It really is all going wrong for Ronaldo at the moment.

Zidane insists the forward will rediscover his goalscoring touch eventually and that it's not a problem for Real, but one goal in eight games is worrying.

He scored 42 goals in all competitions last season, 25 of which in La Liga, which he has no chance of matching but for a drastic turn in form.
