Ben Davies grabbed an injury-time equaliser as promotion-chasing Notts County secured a 1-1 draw at play-off rivals Aldershot.

Davies curled home a free-kick just as it looked as though the Magpies would be beaten by Oliver Bozanic's first-half opener.

The hosts started brightly as Anthony Straker headed Kirk Hudson's cross straight at Kasper Schmeichel in the County goal.

The visitors were offering little in attack, although Luke Rodgers did see a long-range drive smothered by Aldershot goalkeeper Stephen Henderson midway through the first half.

Aldershot thought they had taken the lead four minutes before the break when Marvin Morgan touched Chris Blackburn's header past Schmeichel, but the linesman's flag cut short the celebrations. However, the hosts were not to be denied soon afterwards when Hudson squared the ball across the box for Bozanic to side-foot home.

The hosts could have doubled their lead had Straker and Morgan not wasted chances, and the Shots were made to pay for those misses as Davies levelled.
