Hereford United Vs Northampton Town, Tue 23 Feb 2010

Hereford boss John Trewick has the same squad at his disposal for the visit of Northampton as he did for Saturday`s heartbreaking 4-3 home defeat against Burton.

Trewick, who kept faith with the same XI that saw off Aldershot 2-0 four days earlier, was left fuming with the manner of the loss having seen his side squander a 3-1 lead before conceding a fourth in the 96th minute.

He must now decide whether to freshen things up or go again with the same starting line-up.

Jamie Tolley will continue to miss out after a scan on his troublesome shin injury proved inconclusive, with the club now taking a gradual approach to his recovery.

Elsewhere, fellow midfielder Edrissa Sonko will also miss out due to a lower abdominal strain although he has played a bit-part role of late.

Northampton will again be without goalkeeper Chris Dunn.

Dunn missed the 3-2 reverse at Crewe on Saturday after suffering a knee injury in training, so former Wolves keeper Billy Lumley will continue between the posts after making his league debut at Gresty Road.

Dunn had surgery on the injury on Saturday and is expected to be out for around three to four weeks.

Midfielder Kevin Thornton sits out the second of a three-match ban while utility man Andy Holt remains sidelined with a knee injury of his own.

Striker Steve Guinan is also still out as he recovers from a hernia operation so Billy McKay will continue to partner top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa.

Ian Sampson`s side have lost their last two games after an 11-game unbeaten streak came to an end but a win at Hereford could put them back to within two points of the play-off places.
