Newcastle forward Peter Lovenkrands could return from injury for Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship trip to Watford.

The 30-year-old Dane limped out of the 3-0 victory over Preston at the weekend with a hamstring problem after putting the Magpies ahead with his 10th goal of the season.

Manager Chris Hughton told the club's official website: "The injury is not too serious and we are hopeful of having Peter available for the weekend."

Hughton is also keeping his fingers crossed that first-choice left-back Jose Enrique will also be available for the first time since damaging his hamstring against Crystal Palace last month, while Nicky Butt is hoping to shake off a thigh injury.
