Zakuani pledges allegiance to Posh

Peterborough defender Gabriel Zakuani has pledged to stay at London Road next season - even if Posh are relegated come May.

Zakuani is under contract with United until 2012 and has confirmed that he will be a part of the side next campaign even if that will be in League One.

He said: "I'm not one to make a fuss or cause problems. I have a contract for two more seasons at the end of this one and I've always been treated well here."

He added: "It's been a frustrating season for me and the team, but I'm back in full training with the squad now and it feels great.

"To be honest I am not thinking about next season yet because we still have a chance of avoiding relegation. It will be a tough task, but we will be trying as hard as we can and I want to play my part.

"But if we do go down I would want to be part of a team that can come straight back up again the following season."
