Norwich midfielder Darel Russell will miss the next three games after the Football Association rejected his appeal against his weekend dismissal.

Russell was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin during the 2-0 defeat on Saturday but City appealed the decision.

However, an FA hearing has rejected his appeal and Russell will now miss Tuesday night's game against Southend as well as forthcoming fixtures with Oldham and Yeovil.
