Wayne Rooney headed his 28th goal of the season to enable Manchester United to retain the Carling Cup after coming from behind to defeat Aston Villa 2-1 at Wembley.
James Milner's fourth-minute penalty put Villa ahead but United equalised eight minutes later through Michael Owen, who had started in place of Rooney.
But Owen limped out of the action just before half-time to be replaced by Rooney - and the England striker grabbed the winner in the 74th minute.
