Cherries chairman ready for supporter meeting

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell admits he will happily meet with the club's Supporters Trust to clarify any issues regarding the Cherries' financial situation.

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs last week issued the League Two club with a winding-up petition relating to an unpaid tax bill of £314,000 - with a hearing set for March 31.

The trust has reservations over the club's handling of affairs off the field, but Mitchell told the Bournemouth Echo: "On behalf of the board, if anyone wants to meet myself and Neill Blake (chief executive) on Thursday, they can see where every penny has gone and we can explain things to them.

"We are quite happy to sit down with them."
