Defender Marcus Hall is desperate to sign a new deal and stay with Coventry beyond the end of the season.
Hall, who made his comeback from injury in the 1-0 win against Peterborough at the weekend, will learn this week whether he has a future at the club.
"Hopefully my performance is a little reminder to the manager that I can still do a job for the club," Hall told the Coventry Telegraph. "I went to see him (Coleman) last week to see what is happening. I know and he knows I am not always going to be first choice so it is just a case of seeing whether there is anything available."
He added: "He knows I definitely want to stay and he is going to get back to me this week and hopefully I will get a positive answer because I know I can do a bit more here."
