Peterborough manager Jim Gannon is waiting on the fitness of midfielders Lee Frecklington and Chris Whelpdale ahead of the visit of Doncaster.

The duo missed the 1-0 win at Watford on Saturday with calf and groin strains respectively as Posh finally picked up three points on the road and are doubtful to feature at London Road.

Gannon may be tempted to name an unchanged side regardless, with outcast Sergio Torres in with a chance of making his first start at home since March 2009 after being recalled at Vicarage Road.

Centre-half Ryan Bennett remains on the sidelines as he recovers from an ankle injury and on-loan Arsenal full-back Kerrea Gilbert is also out with a knock sustained in training.

Posh have won their last two games but remain eight points adrift of safety.

Doncaster defender Shelton Martis is expected to return to the starting line-up.

The Dutch centre-half had been sidelined for six matches due to a hamstring injury before appearing for the final 10 minutes in Saturday's win over Derby and he will be a straight swap for Elliott Ward.

Ward, on loan from Coventry since mid-February, played his last match against Derby and has returned to the Ricoh Arena.

Midfielder Martin Woods made his second substitute appearance on Saturday since returning from a lengthy groin injury while Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, on loan from Arsenal, and fellow midfielder Mark Wilson have shaken off concussion and a dead-leg respectively and will be included in the squad.

Boss Sean O'Driscoll's side are unbeaten in their last four league matches and will be looking to cut the four-point gap between themselves and the top six.
