On-loan striker Davide Somma fired in his third goal in four games to dent Dagenham's play-off hopes as Lincoln hit back to draw 1-1.

The Daggers looked set for a valuable away victory until Somma, on loan from Leeds, latched onto a header from Steve Lennon and smashed his shot into the back of the net.

Lincoln threatened early on with Lennon cracking a left foot shot against the post but the home team faded allowing the Daggers to dominate.

Paul Benson went close with a glancing header and then Lincoln keeper Rob Burch did well to keep out an effort from Abu Ogogo.

Dagenham took the lead in the 33rd minute with a quick break down the left. Benson set up Jon Nurse who slipped his shot past Burch into the net.

Six minutes later Benson had the ball in the Lincoln net again but his effort was disallowed for offside.

Dagenham kept up the pressure with Yoann Folly having a low shot saved by Burch.

Dagenham defender Mark Arber should have scored in the 56th minute when he was left with a free header but put his effort wide from six yards, and was made to pay when Somma levelled with 22 minutes remaining.
