Addicks land QPR defender on loan

QPR defender Gary Borrowdale has joined Charlton on a month's loan.

The 24-year-old has yet to make an appearance under new Rangers manager Neil Warnock but is set to go straight into Charlton's starting line-up for Saturday's visit from derby rivals Gillingham.

Addicks boss Phil Parkinson said: "We're pleased to get Gary on board. I think everyone realises we need a recognised left-back and Gary is a quality player with a natural left foot who gives us balance on that side of the pitch."
