Torquay are set to be without Wayne Carlisle for the home clash against Lincoln.
The winger sustained a knee problem in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Crewe at Plainmoor and is unlikely to recover in time.
Central defender Kieran Charnock (knee) and on-loan Southampton keeper Michael Poke (groin) are still sidelined by injury.
Their replacements, Mark Ellis and Scott Bevan, have featured in United's six-match unbeaten run since being recalled to the side, although Charnock is hoping to return to training next week.
With Poke sidelined, youth team keeper Mike Searle is again set to provide cover from the bench.
Lincoln face a midfield crisis ahead of the trip.
Sam Saunders has extended his loan spell from Fulham until the end of the season but the 20-year-old is nursing a knock from the midweek draw with Dagenham and is a major doubt.
Steven Lennon sustained an ankle injury in the same game and he will face a late check along with Stefan Oakes and Richard Butcher, who have hamstring problems.
Chris Herd will not recover from his ankle injury in time but Clark Keltie is expected to provide some relief for manager Chris Sutton by returning to the squad after a three-game absence.
New signing David Stephens should go into the squad after joining on loan from Norwich.
Drewe Broughton has returned to Rotherham following his loan spell and with Lenell John-Lewis (hamstring) injured and Paul Connor short of fitness, Sutton is looking to get another striker in on loan.
He said: "Drewe leaving is a blow because he and Davide Somma looked to be developing a good partnership. It leaves us a bit light and that is something we will look to address if we can."
