Gudjohnson inspires Spurs victory

Published Add your comment

On-loan Eidur Gudjohnsen came off the bench to score one and set up another as Tottenham edged a second-half thriller 2-1 against 10-man Stoke.

Gudjohnsen put Spurs ahead 18 seconds into the second half but despite Dean Whitehead's sending-off Stoke hit back to level through Matthew Etherington's penalty.

Ricardo Fuller then missed a sitter for the home side and was punished in the 77th minute when Gudjohnsen's dummy set up Niko Kranjcar to race into the box and fire home the winner.
