Bristol Rovers took advantage of a goalkeeping mistake from Alex McCarthy to romp to a 3-0 derby win at Huish Park.

Rovers were gifted a dream start when McCarthy dallied in attempting a clearance in the first minute and Jo Kuffour charged it down to score.

Yeovil had chances to equalise with several shots going wide of the woodwork but it was Bristol who provided the most lethal finishing and soon were looking for more goals.

They made it 2-0 in the 37th minute when a good move down the left by Dan Jones set up Paul Heffernan to score from close range and five minutes later it was three.

Yeovil failed to deal with a loose ball in the box and Kuffour fired in from 10 yards.
