Darlington's caretaker-managers Craig Liddle and Neil Maddison are expected to make changes for the Quakers' home clash with Aldershot.

Liddle and Maddison have been placed in temporary charge following the sacking of former manager Steve Staunton on Sunday.

Darlington went down to a seventh defeat in eight league games when losing 2-1 to Barnet on Saturday and there could be changes in both defence and attack.

Veteran striker Noel Whelan made only his third appearance of the season at the weekend due to a hamstring injury, but was replaced in the 58th minute and there are doubts over his involvement against Aldershot.

Frenchman Mor Diop replaced Whelan, but was substituted himself in the 89th minute by Curtis Main and is also doubtful.

Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon will choose from an unchanged squad side.

The Shots returned to winning ways against Shrewsbury on Saturday to move to within four points of the play-offs and a win at doomed Darlington would put them right back in contention.

Striker Marvin Morgan returned to the starting line-up at the weekend after recovering from a back injury and scored his 12th of the season so will keep his place.

Anthony Charles will continue to operate as a makeshift left-back as Andy Sandell is ruled out with the hamstring injury he sustained against Burton at the beginning of March.

Centre-half Dave Winfield is also still out with a hamstring injury while midfielder John Halls is unlikely to feature again this season after complications hampered his recovery from groin surgery.
