Darlington moved another step closer to an inevitable relegation as Aldershot left with a 2-1 win.
Aldershot took the lead in the 25th minute following a foul on Anthony Straker on the edge of the area.
Scott Donnelly's free kick struck the far post and Aaron Brown tapped in the rebound as the ball came back off the upright.
Marvin Morgan got the second when he tapped in from inside the six-yard box four minutes before the break after Darlington goalkeeper Shane Redmond failed to cut out a low right wing cross from Marlon Jackson.
Darlington substitute Curtis Main headed wide before Paul Arnison grabbed a 85th-minute consolation when he poked the ball in from close range.
