Crystal Palace vs Manchester City was probably one of the most entertaining 0-0 draws the Premier League has ever seen.City headed into the match having won 19 of their 20 league matches this season and knew they could extend their lead at the top to a crazy 16 points.Instead, they were held to a 0-0 at Selhurst Park but that doesn’t even begin to tell the story.Luka Milivojevic saw a 92nd-minute penalty saved by Ederson after Wilfried Zaha went down easily under Raheem Sterling’s tackle. Seconds later, Kevin de Bruyne was completely wiped out by Jason Puncheon, leaving him on a stretcher.De Bruyne’s injury was the second serious-looking injury City picked up with Gabriel Jesus reduced to tears after suffering a groin issue in the first-half.While Ederson’s penalty save preserved City’s unbeaten run, everyone was talking about Puncheon’s shocking tackle on De Bruyne.

De Bruyne has been, arguably, the best player in the Premier League this season and there are now fears he could be ruled out for a long time. He was soon being helped around the pitch at full-time as City fans nervously wait for news.

But before his terrible challenge, Puncheon did something rather odd.

Players usually stand on the edge of the penalty box during a penalty in the hope to get to the rebound if one should come their way.

But not the Palace midfielder.

He stood on the edge of the penalty box but decided to turn around to face his own goal. He clearly thought Milivojevic would score but was too nervous to watch.

As it was, Milivojevic lost and Puncheon certainly wasn’t ready to score the rebound.

Instead, he started sprinting back towards his own goal and was soon ending De Bruyne’s participation in the match with his awful tackle.

FOOTBALL FANS NOTICED IT

Here's how football fans reacted:

It was certainly an ‘entertaining’ 15 minutes for Puncheon whilst he was on the pitch...
