Lincoln chairman Steff Wright is to stand down from his position at the end of this season.
Wright has been at the Coca-Cola League Two club for almost a decade and became chairman in 2006.
"I have informed my Board of Directors and the Lincoln City FC management staff that I do not intend to put myself forward to continue as chairman next season," Wright said in a statement on the club's official website.
"In preparation for stepping down I have, over the course of the last 12 months, passed on more responsibility to the rest of my board to ensure a smooth transition."
He added: "Also, by announcing my intentions in good time, it will allow for either a new board member to come forward or a current director to prepare for the role.
"I am not disappearing from the club and will, of course, continue to assist the club in other ways and help ensure the excellent links we have made with businesses in the city and individuals throughout the football industry are maintained."
