WWE officials are already planning for WrestleMania and a new report suggests that a huge match is being planned.

WrestleMania 34 is set to be held on April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network and is the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured on the card.

According to WrestleVotes, who has broken WWE news in the past, SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon is “penciled in” for a major WrestleMania match.

The match is expected to be part of his ongoing feud with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

However, it should be noted that there are still questions about who Shane’s opponent or possibly partner will be.
This marks McMahon second stint with the sports entertainment company. In 2009, McMahon announced his resignation from WWE which went into effect January 1, 2010.

He would later become CEO of entertainment service company YOU On Demand in late 2010.
However, on July 12, 2013, McMahon voluntarily stepped down as CEO of YOU On Demand and appointed Weicheng Liu as his successor, while remaining the company's principal executive officer and Vice Chairman of the Board.

Fast forward to February 22, 2016, he returned to the WWE as an on-screen character.

During his time with the company as a wrestler, he won the European Championship once and the Hardcore Championship once, and has wrestled in the main event of multiple WWE pay per views.

It’s well known by now that Brock Lesnar has been scheduled to face Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34. This has been the plan for a while now.

At one point, WWE officials did talk about having John Cena take on Reigns at WrestleMania, but WWE briefly changed the SummerSlam main event from being Lesnar defending the WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman to Lesnar vs. Reigns.
