McAllister blow for Robins

Published Add your comment

Bristol City have suffered a blow with the news that defender Jamie McAllister is likely to miss the rest of the season.

The left-back came off against Newcastle last weekend following the recurrence of a calf injury and scans have shown he will miss the next four to six weeks.

"Jamie's absolutely gutted. The scan has shown up firther damage to the calf in question," caretaker manager Keith Millen told the club's official website.

"You don't want to say that's the end of his season - unless we get into the play-offs maybe - but that is what we are facing.

"Jamie wants to play in every game and he's gutted."
