Michael Beasley has made some amazing shots in his NBA career, but none probably lasted as long as one of his baskets against the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. The New York Knicks star helped his team by putting up a stat line of a team-high 18 points, nine rebounds, and two assists last night against the Spurs, but his team ultimately fell short on the night on the scoreboard as they lost 100-91. The Knicks have now lost four times in their last six games. However, near the end of the first quarter, an absolutely magical shot occurred, as one of his baskets looked like it was defying a few laws of physics. Either that or Beasley has been learning how to do magic from David Copperfield. From just inside the 3-point arc, the forward took his pull-up jump shot with enough backspin on the ball to cause it to take several spins around the rim of the basket before falling through for the two points. As you can see in the video below, before dropping into the basket, the ball took five or six spins around the basket just to tease every Knicks fan inside Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. Twice it even looked like it was going to come out but thankfully for Beasley, it didn't.

Beasley has been a delightful surprise for the Knicks this season, as he is averaging 11.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. However, the team needs to improve their performances if they want to guarantee themselves a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference before the season is out. They currently reside in 9th spot in the conference.

Ultimately though, it wasn't the forward's fault for New York losing on the night, as both Kristaps Porzingis and Courtney Lee didn't have great games.

Porzingis struggled through a 5-of-19 shooting, only scoring 13 points, while Lee was barely better, making 5-of-15 shots and also scoring 13. Beasley finished the night with 7-of-13 shots.

In their next game, the Knicks will be back on the road as they travel to Washington to play against the Wizards.
