Alan Goodall comes back into the reckoning for Chesterfield ahead of the visit of Hereford.

The left-back was suspended for the 2-2 draw with Burton last weekend and could go straight back into the starting line-up after assistant manager Tommy Wright slammed the Spireites' defending at the Pirelli Stadium.

Wright will remain on the touchline as boss John Sheridan completes a two-match ban after being hit with a misconduct charge relating to the defeat at Notts County earlier this month.

Simon Whaley missed the Burton game with a knock but the on-loan Norwich winger has resumed training and is back in contention.

Ever-present midfielder Mark Allott is in line to make the 500th league appearance of his career as the Spireites look to get their automatic promotion challenge back on track following three games without a win.

Astrit Ajdarevic is in line to make his debut when Hereford travel to Saltergate.

The on-loan attacking midfielder, 19, arrived from Leicester just hours before Thursday`s deadline.

But he will face a tall order muscling his way into Graham Turner`s starting XI as the Bulls boss takes a full-strength to the Midlands.

Gavin McCallum overcame a knee injury to start last weekend`s 2-0 win over Bradford and he should again be involved, while recent loan signings Lewis Young and Jake Jervis were handed their debuts, with the latter scoring the second late on having come off the bench.

Both players will again be battling for a place in Turner`s matchday 18 among what is now looking like a healthy squad.

However, midfielder Jamie Tolley will not be involved having seen his contract terminated by mutual consent earlier this week.M
