Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy will choose from an unchanged squad for the home clash with Torquay.

Striker Aaron Taylor, defender Henry McStay and midfielder Ian Craney remain long-term absentees but McIlroy has no other major concerns.

And the Shrimps manager will urge his side to finish their campaign strongly after admitting the play-offs are out of their reach.

Their hopes of claiming a top-seven finish were effectively ended by last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Northampton.

And McIlroy is already looking to the future as he plots a strong end to the current campaign.

He said: "We are only into our third year in the Football League and to finish in the top half of the table would be a fantastic achievement."

Wayne Carlisle has been ruled out of the Gulls' trip to Christie Park.

The Irish winger is recovering from a knee operation and will play no part against the Shrimps.

With Lloyd Macklin returning to Swindon following his loan spell, manager Paul Buckle will start with either Mustapha Carayol, Danny Stevens or Eunan O'Kane.

Carayol got the nod last weekend and is likely to feature again after an impressive display in the Gulls' 3-2 defeat by Lincoln, which ended United's unbeaten six-match run.

On-loan Southampton goalkeeper Michael Poke (groin) remains sidelined so Scott Bevan starts in goal once again.

Central defender Kieran Charnock (knee) is working his way back to match fitness.
