Pitman back on track for Cherries: Match Review

Published Add your comment

Bournemouth regained their momentum after some disappointing recent results as Brett Pitman's 21st goal of the season helped them to a 2-0 win over Accrington.

Accrington badly missed 17-goal leading scorer Michael Symes and did not manage a shot on target until the 93rd minute when substitute Gary King brought a regulation save from under-used Bournemouth goalkeeper Shwan Jalal.

Before that Bournemouth took the lead in the 18th minute when Liam Feeney scuffed home a shot from 15 yards.

Lee Bradbury and Danny Hollands missed chances to increase the lead and it was not until the 78th that Pitman got Bournemouth's second.

Feeney's shot was turned onto the bar by goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin and Pitman ran in the rebound.
