After months of waiting in anticipation, WWE fans - sort of - got their wish as WWE pulled the trigger on bringing the Broken gimmick to television.Following on from the lengthy court battles with Impact Wrestling, the older Hardy brother reigned supreme by succeeding in utilising his infamous character in the WWE, even though the Broken name was ditched for the Woken name.

WOKEN

Essentially, though, they're both the exact same thing.

Currently, Matt is feuding with Bray Wyatt in what many fans desperately wanted to see when Matt was still with Impact Wrestling. Their gimmicks are unique and compliment each other really well.

However, it's not a feud that's going to last for too long and it seems John Cena has some WWE fans believing that he and Woken Matt will be crossing paths sooner rather than later.

The 16-time world champion has a habit of dropping hints on his Instagram account - when he's not acting strange or trying to troll the WWE Universe.

We've seen then when he posted a throwback image of AJ Styles, right before the current WWE Champion signed with WWE and had excellent feuds with Cena.

HINTS

But then Cena took it overboard when he dropped a handful of hints that Kenny Omega would also be making the switch to WWE. It was around this time last year, as it was thought The Cleaner could be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble and Cena played his part in keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Now, he's done something similar. He's posted an image of Woken Matt with absolutely no context behind it.

To further stir things up, Matt took to his official Twitter account to respond to Cena in typical Woken fashion - addressing him by his middle name.

He posted: "#BrotherFelix, how WONDERFULLY #WOKEN of your STOUTHEARTED SOUL."

With Cena expected to appear at Monday Night RAW's Fastlane event ahead of WrestleMania 34 as a guest, there's a slight chance it could be him standing opposite Woken Matt - or even side by side.

On the other hand, this could simply be one of Cena's trolling methods to continue teasing WWE fans despite not regularly appearing on television.

Regardless of that, the promos between both men - should they ever share a ring together - would be brilliant.
