2018 has arrived and WWE has released a video of a list of superstars which they believe could reach for the brass ring this year.

Each year, WWE has several superstars that attempt to reach for the brass ring and become the new superstars in the company. Many superstars have tried and succeed in the progress, while others have failed in their attempts.

Superstars like Cesaro have been highly tipped by WWE fans to be given the opportunity, while other superstars like Roman Reigns have had the chance handed to them by WWE officials despite the disapproval of many fans.

With this in mind, WWE has recently released a video of eight superstars to watch out for in 2018, which could be an indication as to which superstars the company could be pushing and giving an opportunity to try and grab the brass ring.

Paige

Since returning to Monday Night Raw in November, Paige has taken over the women's division as the leader of Absolution, and 2018 could be a very promising year for her. Being a two-time Divas Champion, The Raven-Haired Renegade could be back in the title picture later this year, especially if she still has Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville by her side.

Samoa Joe

It's been almost a year since Samoa Joe made his main roster debut, but he is still yet to capture a championship since making the jump from NXT. In 2017, he had some fantastic matches with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, so he deserves to have a run with a WWE title this year, and it should only be a matter of time before it happens.

Sami Zayn

2017 was a bit of a mixed year for Sami Zayn, but 2018 is already showing a lot of promise for The Underdog from the Underground. He started last year as a mid-carder on Raw before being moved to SmackDown Live in the Superstar Shake-up. Later in the year, he would turn heel and team up with Kevin Owens against Shane McMahon.

He has a chance to start 2018 strong at the Royal Rumble, as here, he will be taking on AJ Styles alongside Kevin Owens in a 2-on-1 handicap match for the WWE Championship. Sami could grab the brass ring before the month is out.

Pete Dunne

Pete Dunne made his name in 2017 by finishing runner-up to Tyler Bate in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament. He then went on to win the title itself at NXT TakeOver: Chicago in a match which many fans regard as Match of the Year across the WWE. As soon as he starts to compete in more matches for the WWE, more accolades could be coming for The Bruiserweight.

Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane made her name in the WWE in 2017 by winning the Mae Young Classic last September, earning her a shot at the vacant NXT Women's Championship at NXT TakeOver: WarGames as well.

At the show, Sane, Nikki Cross and Peyton Royce were defeated by Ember Moon in a four-way match for the vacant NXT Women's title, but Pirate Princess has shown a lot of promise for the year ahead.

The Street Profits

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, also know as The Street Profits, are one of the most entertaining tag teams in NXT right now, but they are yet to capture the NXT tag team titles. They have fantastic charisma, which should translate to tag team titles in NXT very soon.

Drew Gulak

Drew Gulak is one of the more entertaining cruiserweights on 205 Live as he has great in-ring skills as well as charisma that is starting to see him receive support from the WWE universe thanks to his back and forth with Enzo Amore. With this in mind, he could be in line for a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship in the near future.

Carmella

2017 was a great year for Carmella, but she is yet to capitalize on her success of the year. The Princess of Stanton Island won the Women's Money in the Bank briefcase at Money in the Bank last year, but she is yet to cash it in for an opportunity at the SmackDown Women's Championship.

If she's going to cash it in, she has to do it in 2018, so she very well could be holding the SmackDown Women's title very soon.
