There's not many dream scenarios WWE fans cherish more than Daniel Bryan entering a WWE ring again.

The Leader of the Yes Movement is a former four-time world champion in the WWE, but he was forced to retire at the age of 34 in February 2016.

Bryan was suffering from the results of multiple concussions that were said to have given him seizures and the WWE refused to clear him to wrestle ever again.

However, the now SmackDown Live general manager has remained with the company and is contracted through to the last few months of 2018.

The 36-year-old has maintained that he is well enough to have another wrestling match and has been cleared by several doctors outside of the WWE since retiring.

He continues to undergo experimental exercises and treatment. Last November, Bryan said: "I'm trying to get cleared as we speak. All my tests have come back fantastic, better than people who have never had any concussion-type stuff. But it's a weird thing. We're in a weird situation politically with the climate around concussions; right now, it's very difficult."

Bryan has also been in a peculiar feud with SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon as of late and it seems one of them is going to turn heel sooner or later.

A union with the villainous Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens has been teased, but according to NoDQ.com, it seems like there may be a sinister motive behind it.

The report claims the WWE wants to move Bryan to a heel role so he is not so popular with the WWE universe.

There is a belief that Bryan will not re-sign with the company in the autumn if they do not clear him to wrestle, so they want to dim his popularity before his release.

Bryan remains one of the most popular figures in the WWE bar none. Precious few wrestlers ever reach the dizzy heights he did/has, but if the WWE wants to change the fans' perception of him upon his release, that's not very fair.
