Darts veteran Gary Robson was knocked out of the latest British Darts Organisation Championships after losing out to fellow brit Glen Durrant. In a tyneside derby of its own outside the world of football, Middlesbrough fan Durrant gave the North-east more to cheer about following the football side's win against rivals Sunderland AFC.For Robson, however, the match was nothing to cheer about as he did not experience the best of games on his end, especially with the track record that his career proves about his potential gameplay.Playing since 1984, Robson has recorded one World Championship win, which came back in 2005, nearly 13 years ago.Robson, who is currently ranked incredibly at 26th in the world, had a dismal showing against Durant in the BDO Championships, with one of his attempts landing him a score of just five. Robson's score of five has unfortunately, for him, made headlines as Sky News producer Carl McQueen posted the video on Twitter with the ironic caption: "Great Darts."The tweet can be seen here, and the video of the shambolic throws from Robson.

People responded to the tweet in comedic fashion, tagging their friends to also see the post and leaving laughing emojis.

Others were more sympathetic and left messages of support explaining that it happens and Robson's overall performance was nothing to criticise.

In what is considered not one of Robson's best patches of form, the English dart community knows of his talent and it is only time until that very best form returns for all to see.

After seeing the world of darts shocked by Rob Cross defeating Phil 'The Power' Taylor, all eyes now turn to Lakeside.

However, it's not been the best of starts with Robson proving the gulf in class between the two organisations.

Surely it can only get better?
