Posh suffer fresh injury blow

Published Add your comment

Peterborough winger Chris Whelpdale could miss the remainder of the campaign after injuring his ankle in the 1-0 defeat to Bristol City on Saturday.

Whelpdale suffered medial ligament damage as he landed awkwardly in the first half and could be out for at least a month.

He said: "It is extremely frustrating and I am very disappointed that I am going to miss around four weeks. I just went up for a header and landed on the goalkeeper."

He added: "I hope I can come back before the end of the season but it is just a case of wait and see."
