If there's anyone in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) who's opinion should be held in the highest regard, it's longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

Over the years Rogan has sat cage-side and broken down some of the most technical fights of all time, and knows the ins and outs of some of the best fighters of all time's technique and abilities.

So when the comedian names someone the most 'terrifying' contender in any division - it should definitely be taken seriously.

One of the most interesting divisions in the UFC right now is undoubtably the 155-pound division, which is currently fronted by Conor McGregor. "The Notorious One" has never defended his lightweight title since winning the strap in 2016.

After taking time off an interim lightweight champion has been crowned in Tony Ferguson, who has proven to be one of the baddest men on the planet after nearly cleaning house in the division.

Despite the fact that "El Cucuy" holds the interim lightweight title, Rogan recently stated on his MMA Show podcast that he believes undefeated 155-pounder Khabib Nurmagomedov is the most 'terrifying' contender in the division today (quotes via MMA Junkie):

“He’s just on such another level that the odds of beating him drop significantly after the first minute-and-a-half,” Rogan said.

“You saw the look on Barboza’s face: Two minutes in and he’s trying to get up. You saw the look on his face and it’s like, ‘(Expletive), how am I gong to do deal with this?’ It’s just so next level.

“Khabib, after this performance, has set it up to a place where he’s the most terrifying lightweight contender in the world,” Rogan said.

“Then you have Tony Ferguson, whose a (expletive), and has the interim championship, then you have Conor – who knows what happens with him?

"I think the UFC’s going to give him some time, let the holidays pass, see what the (expletive) happens and then make some moves.”

What are your thoughts on Rogan's comments in which he dubs Khabib Nurmagomedov the most 'terrifying' lightweight contender in the UFC? How do you see the 155-pound title picture shaking out when it's all said and done? And who do you think is the most terrifying lightweight contender on the planet today?
