Cris Cyborg established herself as one of the best female MMA fighters in history when she defeated Holly Holm and successfully retained the UFC Women's Featherweight Championship at UFC 219 at the end of last month.

The Brazilian won her fight against the American via unanimous decision at the T-Mobile Arena on December 30, successfully defending the UFC Women's Featherweight title for the first time in her career.

Many UFC fighters have different ways of preparing for their fights on the day, from taking a nap, to doing some light pad work. Cyborg's pre-fight prep before her clash with Holm was definitely quite the opposite than just taking a nap.

Cyborg posted a video of her and her camp backstage ahead of her UFC 219 fight, where her boxing coach, Jason Parillo, can be seen delivering a hard slap right in the face of the UFC Women's Featherweight Champion.

She wrote in the post: “Be ready! Forget WuTang...#CyborgNation is nothing to mess with! @parilloboxing heeeeey!

Cyborg added in Portuguese: “Before the war!!!!! It’s been a while since.. But only this time they filmed! Heyy just to check if the spirit did not escape kkkk!”

As you can see in the video below, it's a very hard slap, but judging by the outcome of the fight, it had the desired effect. She didn't mind it at all!

The fight may have ended up being closer than people expected, but Cyborg still managed to get the win in her first-ever defense of the UFC Women's Featherweight Championship.

There have been calls for her now to participate in a super fight against the current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes, but Cyborg doesn't want to do that as she wants to keep the UFC system going by allowing another woman with a win at featherweight compete for the title.

She said, in response to Nunes' call out last week: "I will fight the #1 contender available with a win at 145 in the last year next. My mark on the sport will be opening doors for all women."

While they may be avoiding one another for now, you can bet that the longer it goes, the more hype there will be for this fight to happen, especially if both women continue to dominate in their respective divisions.
