Swindon manager Danny Wilson will look to make another move for winger Matt Ritchie in the summer.
The 21-year-old was recalled by parent club Portsmouth on Friday morning ahead of Saturday's Premier League encounter at Tottenham, calling a premature end to his six-week loan spell at the County Ground which was due to run until the end of the season.
However, Wilson is not prepared to give up on him that easily.
"We were very disappointed (to lose him), yes, but it was understandable really," Wilson told the Swindon Advertiser. "Portsmouth wanted a 24-hour recall on him, so you just have to adhere to it."
Wilson added: "We were very lucky to have him in the first place, and although we persevered with it, we were lucky to get him and thank Portsmouth for that. But their needs are the most important and they have a say on the future of the boy.
"Of course we are disappointed, but he's been on the bench at White Hart Lane, so it's a big step for him. He'll enjoy it. But I will certainly persevere in the summer and try to get him back, yes."
