Arsenal and Chelsea went head-to-head at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final, just seven days after last week's 2-2 draw in the Premier League.Heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, Alexis Sanchez was left on the bench and German playmaker Mesut Ozil missed out with a knee injury. It was a drab 0-0 in west London - a far cry from last week's thriller in the league. The second leg of the semi-final will be played at the Emirates on January 24.Arsene Wenger's side have won just one of their last six outings in all competitions and patience amongst the Arsenal supporters is understandably wearing thin. The Gunners face a tricky trip to Bournemouth on Sunday, desperately needing a win to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Spurs above them.

Arsenal fans have had enough of one player

Jack Wilshere was probably Arsenal's best performer but, worryingly, had to be subbed off early in the second half with an ankle injury.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth has been in excellent form since finally breaking into the Arsenal first team.

Whilst Wilshere impressed yet again, Gooners on social media were getting vocal about another Arsenal academy graduate.

Alex Iwobi has been in poor form this season and has managed only one goal in 17 appearances in all competitions.

Fans were surprised to see the 21-year-old in the starting XI after his partying on the weekend ahead of the shock FA Cup defeat at Nottingham Forest.

Iwobi was poor against Forest and fans were fuming at his display at Stamford Bridge too.

Another forgettable evening for Iwobi.

In his pre-match press conference, Wenger spoke about the Nigerian midfielder and confirmed that he would be fined if the reports were correct.

“If that is true, he will be fined,” Wenger said. “It is impossible to go out 48 hours before a game. It’s unacceptable. I will have to see him to see if that is right or not.

“It was not the night before the game, it was 48 hours before the game. The night before the game we were in a hotel but it is not acceptable and I will have to speak to him. First of all you have to be cautious with the news coming out, when you read what is reported it is like he has taken drugs. He is not involved in that at all, he has been out at a birthday party. How long has he stayed? That is important. After, I will decide what happens.”
