Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi kept his place in the starting XI for Wednesday night's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Chelsea. The 21-year-old Nigerian will reportedly be fined by the club after he was filmed at a house party ahead of Sunday's shock FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest.“If that is true, he will be fined,” Arsene Wenger said. “It is impossible to go out 48 hours before a game. It’s unacceptable. I will have to see him to see if that is right or not.“It was not the night before the game, it was 48 hours before the game. The night before the game we were in a hotel but it is not acceptable and I will have to speak to him."Wenger is currently serving a three-game ban for his comments about Mike Dean and was forced to watch the proceedings from the press area.Iwobi, who was not long ago considered one of the finest young talents in the Premier League, struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge and the dull match ended 0-0.

Iwobi's awful shot

The Arsenal academy graduate - who was slated by fans on social media - created an opening for himself with an excellent run in the second half.

However, the shot at the end of his run was laughable - and the Arsenal away support let him know just how bad it was.

Arsenal fans make up harsh chant for Iwobi

A Gooner on Twitter who was in the away end at Stamford Bridge posted a video of the chant that was aimed at Iwobi after his miss.

The youngster has been going through some poor form this season and Arsenal fans are clearly losing patience with him.

They could be heard singing "you should've stayed at the party".

It may just have been 'banter' but, as a 21-year-old, it can't be nice to have your own fans on your back.

Arsenal have only won one of their last five fixtures in all competitions and visit Bournemouth in the Premier League in their next outing.

The Gunners trail fourth placed Liverpool by five points and desperately need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
