When Jose Mourinho was snapped speaking to Ajax’s Justin Kluivert after the Europa League final last May, football fans immediately began to speculate.Kluivert, 18, has emerged into one of the brightest talents in Europe and has attracted interest from many big clubs.Among them is Manchester United, and fans wondered if Mourinho was seizing the opportunity to sell the Red Devils to Patrick Kluivert’s son.It turns out that wasn’t the case at all. Kluivert has revealed what the United boss said, and it was nothing more than a catch up.“He just liked to see me,” the winger told AD, per the Manchester Evening News.“Mourinho knows me from the time that I was a little boy and my father played at Barcelona when Mourinho worked there as an assistant trainer.”

What Mourinho has said to Kluivert about transfer

According to reports from Spain, Mourinho remains a huge fan of the Netherlands Under-21 international, who has scored six goals for Ajax in all competitions this season including a hat-trick in November.

And he’s apparently keen to ensure that Kluivert rejects the chance to play for any another club besides Man United.

Sport claim that Mourinho held a private conversation with the player in which he told him not to leave Ajax this month, and to wait for a summer move to Old Trafford instead.

United could certainly do with some spark right now and Kluivert would definitely bring some.

Check out his highlights below to see what all the fuss is about.

United have been linked with Sanchez

It would appear that Mourinho has made a new winger a priority, with reports from Italy claiming he is set to battle Pep Guardiola for Arsenal’s departing star Alexis Sanchez.

Man United could offer Henrikh Mkhitaryan in exchange for the Chilean and Gary Lineker sees sense in the move.

“Interesting turn of events with Manchester United coming in for Sanchez, with Mkhitaryan going the other way,” Lineker wrote on Twitter.

“Can see the appeal for both clubs. United get a top player, and stop him going to City, and Arsenal get an excellent footballer in place of someone who wants away.”

Whether it’s Kluivert, Sanchez or someone else, you can be sure that Man United are going to spend a considerable amount of money once again this year.
