One WWE Hall of Famer has given high praise to one Raw superstar.

That Hall of Famer is former WWE Champion Kevin Nash and that superstar is former Universal Champion Finn Balor, who has taken the WWE by storm since joining them a few years ago.

Balor is widely known for his tenure with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) as Prince Devitt, where he is a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion.

Balor signed with WWE in 2014 and was placed in NXT. Balor became a one-time NXT Champion with his reign being the longest in the title's history at 292 days (although WWE recognizes it at 293).

He was then called up to the main roster and beat Seth Rollins at SummerSlam last year to win the WWE Universal Title. Balor became the first wrestler in WWE history to win a world title in their pay-per-view debut.

This marked the quickest wrestler in WWE history to win a world title at 27 days following his main roster debut by becoming the Universal Title. However, he relinquished the championship a day later due to suffering a legitimate shoulder injury during the match.

Nash recently spoke with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross during a recent edition of The Ross Report. Here is what he had to say about Balor (transcript courtesy of Wrestling Inc):

"There are some guys who you wouldn't have thought in a million years would get a push like Finn Balor, but his entrance alone makes him a star," Nash said. "He's just cut right; the lighting, his pose, he just has that. Of course we are old school and going to sit in our recliners where we say, 'slow down kid.'"

When asked if Nash keeps up with WWE programming often, he explained that he DVR’s everything and watches it one at a time.

"What I do is that I DVR Raw every Monday and I usually will get on Twitter the next morning and see what all the hype is, and then I will go through and watch those specifics, because after I watch those specifics I will see what was good with those specifics," Nash said.

He also brought the infamous promo between Roman Reigns and John Cena to hype their match at the Mercy pay-per-view.

"The morning when Reigns and Cena shot on each other, so to me as a wrestling fan I was seeing if they worked the people, if they didn't work the people so now I am excited to see whether it was a good work or a shoot, and after watching it I noticed that some stuff were shoots and I enjoyed it," Nash explained.

"Now you salivate and want to continue to watch it, you end up skipping through the commercials and watching the rest of the show. Other times it doesn't hit me as deep, it just depends on who they are pushing whether they are pushing a big guy like (Braun) Strowman, to see how they are pushing him, and whether they are using him right."
