Recently, WWE posted an article on their website revealing the eight things they want to see happen in WWE in 2018, and the number one thing is something which many fans would like to see happen as well, as it's a WrestleMania dream match.

The fact WWE has compiled a list of eight things they would like to see happen in 2018 could be an indication as to how they'll be booking their superstars on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live throughout the rest of the year.

There are some predictable events on this list that WWE want to happen, while there are a few unexpected situations on this list too which may surprise a few fans. The number one thing on their list as well indicates WWE is thinking about booking a dream match for WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans this year as well.

From eight to five are some of the most expected entries on this list, as WWE say they would like to see Finn Balor challenge for the Universal Championship, the women of WWE main-event a “Big Four” show, Curt Hawkins snap his losing streak, and John Cena win his 17th world title. WWE will most likely book to make all of these things happen in 2018.

Four to two positions on the list contain some of the most interesting events WWE would like to see happen in 2018, but the chances of them happening are not as strong. From four to two, WWE says they would like to see the free agency open up to more superstars, Batista return for one more match, and for the Women's division to have their own tag team titles.

However, their number one spot on their list is reserved for a dream match that could happen at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans this year, as the number one event that WWE would like to see happen in 2018 is a WrestleMania match of John Cena vs The Undertaker.

This is one of the first times WWE has made reference to a match between Cena and The Deadman, as up until now it had only been speculated on rumor mills. Many believe the match will happen at WrestleMania 34 this year but it is yet to be confirmed by the WWE.

It's odd for WWE to make this their number one thing they want to see happen in 2018 if they're not going to book to make it happen, but we'll have to wait and see. We could get a strong indication as to whether or not this match is happening when Raw 25 takes place on January 22.
