WWE's Raw 25 show which will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw is only a week away and it's jam-packed full of superstars from the show's past. However, there are currently two notable absentees from the event.
The special edition of Monday Night Raw will take place from two arenas, with the Raw roster continuing their build-up for the Royal Rumble at the Barclays Center, while the WWE legends from the past will be at the Manhattan Center.
The current superstars scheduled to appear on Raw 25 include Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, D-Generation X, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, The Dudley Boyz, Ric Flair, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, The Bella Twins, The New Age Outlaws, Ron Simmons, JBL, The Godfather, Brother Love, Boogeyman, Teddy Long, The Million Dollar Man, John Laurinaitis, Sgt. Slaughter.
Many more unannounced superstars are expected to appear on the show, but two noticeable absentees are yet to be advertised for the event despite the star power which they would provide and the role which they played in the WWE's success, The Rock and Hulk Hogan.
According to PWInsider, via Ringside News, if his schedule allows him to The Rock will fly out to New York to appear on the show, but since he's one of the biggest actors in the world right now, it might be difficult for him to do so. Some reports have said if The Rock isn't there in person, then he'll make an appearance via satellite.
As for Hogan, there hasn't been much news on his current standing with the WWE following his firing from the company in July 2015 following his released sex tape which contained racial remarks.
It has been rumored for some time that WWE believes enough time has passed for him to be brought back. However, there is also a concern that sponsors may not be happy with the WWE if they do bring him back because of his past.
While it would be great to see The Great One and The Hulkster back in a WWE ring for Monday Night Raw, fans won't be desperate to see them back when you consider that the show is already filled with legends from the past that will provide an entertaining show.
