Arsenal fans. How does Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sound?Yes, the 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth has left their top four chances in jeopardy, and Alexis Sanchez is set to leave, but news that the Gunners are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal for Aubameyang must be exciting.According to the Telegraph, Dortmund are prepared to sell the Gabon international for roughly £50 million. The Bundesliga outfit are fed up with Aubameyang’s disruptive behaviour and he was left out of the squad for Sunday’s 0-0 draw at home to Wolfsburg.“What is going on now is not to be tolerated by the club,” Dortmund’s general manager, Michael Zorc, said. “It is clear, it cannot go on like this.“I don’t know what is going through his mind. I don’t recognise him anymore. There is trouble in the team and that is not good.”The last thing Arsenal need right now is a troublesome figure in the dressing room but Arsene Wenger may well be willing to overlook his attitude in order to sign a natural goalscorer.Aubameyang has scored 21 goals in 24 appearances this season and has been linked with bigger clubs than Arsenal. And Aubameyang himself has done little to quell the rumours that he could sign for the north London side this month.

Aubameyang gets football fans talking

Footage of the striker appearing in teammate Jadon Sancho’s Instagram Live is doing the rounds on social media.

In the footage, Aubameyang can be heard asking Sancho: “Can you bring me to London one day?”

Now, it doesn’t take a genius to work out how Arsenal fans reacted. Yet many football fans believe there's nothing in it, and that Arsenal supporters are getting worked up about nothing.

Balague: Aubameyang wants to join Arsenal

Sky Sports’ journalist Guillem Balague provided an update on the situation and it was a positive one for Arsenal.

Balague claims that Aubameyang wants to sign for the Gunners, who are “optimistic” that a deal can be completed.

“Nothing will be sorted [today] but it will be an important day,” Balague wrote on Twitter.

“He wants to go to Arsenal which are willing to pay even €60m.

“Tomorrow they will find out if Dortmund wants to sell quickly, slowly or not at all. Arsenal optimistic.”

To lose Sanchez in this window would be disappointing, especially to Manchester United, but to bring in Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Malcom would suggest that Arsenal aren’t ready to give up on their top four hopes just yet.
