Southend manager Steve Tilson has issued a rallying cry to his side after their lacklustre goalless draw with Yeovil.

The Shrimpers remain in 22nd place in League One and three points behind fifth-bottom Tranmere ahead of Monday's trip to face a Gillingham side who are one place and two points above them in the table

``We were flat, there's no doubt about it, it was a flat performance and the players know it,'' said Tilson.

``Over the last five or six weeks the lads have shown enthusiasm, energy and desire; over the last few games we have looked like scoring, but today (Saturday) we did not look like scoring.

``We have another big game on Monday at Gillingham. We have to try and win as many games as we can and we have still got to believe that we can do it.

``It's getting more difficult but we must believe that we can do it.

``One flat performance is not going to change things too much. It's about picking up as many wins as we can and we will probably need four wins from our remaining seven games.''
