The Golden State Warriors saw off a strong effort from the Chicago Bulls to secure a 119-112 win at the United Center on Wednesday night. It was the fourth straight win for the defending champions and it sees them move to an incredible 21-3 on the road this season. This latest victory away from the Bay Area was hugely significant as it tied an impressive franchise record with a 14th consecutive road win. They also moved into a tie for the third-longest road winning streak in a single campaign in NBA history. The Los Angeles Lakers currently hold the record with 16 straight during the 1971-72 season. But they were made to work hard in Chicago as the home team put up a valiant effort and led the game at half-time.The Warriors needed their Splash Brothers to put on a shooting clinic in the third quarter to put the game out of the Bulls' reach.Klay Thompson led the team in scoring with a season-high 38 points on 12-of-22 shooting, including 7-of-13 from three-point range.

Stephen Curry added 30 points on 10-of-18 shooting and 6-of-11 from beyond the arc.

After trailing 66-63 at the break, the two sharpshooters combined to score 22 points -and hit six three-pointers - in the third quarter between them, when the Warriors outscored the Bulls 32-12 to take a commanding 95-78 lead entering the fourth quarter.

"It was an old-school Splash Brother game," coach Steve Kerr said, per ESPN.

The Oakland-based outfit also played lockdown defence in the quarter as they held Chicago scoreless for almost seven minutes and restricted them to just 6-of-25 shooting.

Kevin Durant finished the game with 19 points, seven assists, and eight rebounds but was content to take a backseat to his All-Star teammates who had the hot hand.

"When they got it going like that, you just play your role and know your place, man," Durant said.

The Dubs can set a franchise record for wins on the road in their next outing but it'll be arguably the toughest arena for them to do it in as they take on Western Conference rivals the Houston Rockets.

The marquee clash will end the team's five-game road trip and it'll see James Harden return to the Rockets lineup after recovering from injury.

"It's going to be a very tough game Saturday, probably the toughest of the trip and if we could go undefeated on this road trip that would be incredible," Thompson said.

Golden State moves to 37-9 and leads the way in the west and after several statement wins recently, another success over Houston would solidify their status as the favourites to claim another championship this year.
