Grecians grab a point: Match Review

Exeter secured a crucial point in their fight against relegation in a dour goalless draw at Brentford.

The Londoners always looked the more likely to break the deadlock but were stifled by a five-man City rearguard.

Brentford had the better of the chances in the first half, City keeper Paul Jones pulling off a full length save to keep out Leon Legge's header.

Bees' leading scorer Charlie MacDonald and Myles Weston both saw efforts charge down on the half hour before Marcus Bean headed over from eight yards.

The visitors rarely threatened but came closest when Ryan Harley flashed a free-kick just over and Scott Golbourne fired straight at Bees' keeper Wojciech Szczesny.
