Morecambe grabbed two late goals to keep alive their play-off hopes with a 3-1 win at Lincoln.

The Shrimps led through a fluke 17th minute goal after a 30-yard shot from Craig Stanley struck the back of Phil Jevons and looped over the goalkeeper into the net.

Lincoln should have levelled seven minutes later when Chris Herd got between two Morecambe defenders but fired his shot straight at Morecambe goalkeeper Barry Roche.

Roche then made an excellent diving save to keep out a free-kick from Matt Saunders.

Lincoln kept pushing forward and levelled when Davide Somma set up Cian Hughton who netted from close range in the 66th minute.

But Morecambe came storming back and after Wayne Curtis struck the crossbar veteran Paul Mullin bundled home the rebound.

Lincoln looked a beaten team and caved in again in the third minute of stoppage time. Curtis ghosted past two defenders before rolling his shot past keeper Rob Burch into the bottom corner to spark celebrations among the away fans.
