What is going on at Chelsea in this transfer window? After a solitary goal in their four matches in 2018, Antonio Conte seemingly wants more options going forward - in the form of a target man.First, it was Andy Carroll but after scans revealed the seriousness of his ankle injury, it seems that move is now dead in the water.Chelsea fans celebrated that news but they soon discovered their next target was 36-year-old Peter Crouch. They were no longer celebrating. The club have also been linked with the likes of Fernando Llorente, Christian Benteke and Edin Dzeko, with Conte clearly wanting a certain type of striker to help out Alvaro Morata - who hasn’t scored since Boxing Day.While Chelsea fans are despairing at the players they're being linked with, other football fans are ridiculing the champions. And Match of the Day pundit Gary Lineker decided to get involved on Friday.

He took to Twitter to react to Chelsea being linked with the likes of Carroll and Crouch by saying: “Believe Chelsea have been trying to get in touch. Sorry, Antonio, you’re wasting your time. I’m too short.”

Cheeky.

Just when things couldn’t get any worse for Chelsea in their attacking department right now, both Pedro and Morata will miss their trip to Brighton on Saturday after getting sent off against Norwich on Wednesday.

CONTE ADMITS CHELSEA HAVE A PROBLEM

And, after three consecutive 0-0 draw before that FA Cup replay, Conte admitted that his side have a bit of a problem in front of goal.

“We’re not conceding goals and this is good news,” he said.

“But the bad news is we’re not scoring.

“We know we have to improve on this and my players know very well they can improve.

“Because if you compare with the past, every single player has scored less than last season.”
